“There has
no temptation taken you but such as is common to
man; but God is faithful, Who will not suffer
you to be tempted above that you are able—but
will with the temptation also make a way to
escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

Sometimes in
life it seems as though
Our burdens are
too heavy to bear;
They weigh us
down and rob our joy
And it seems
that no one notices or cares.
Just when it
seems we’re about to make it
And will get
some breathing room,
Another trial
will come our way—
Intent on
causing our doom.
We want to
scream and holler “Why?!?”
When we
experience such tribulation;
It seems unfair
in light of all the good we’ve done
That we should
get such meager consolation.
But then within
us we hear His Voice,
So tender and
filled with love,
“Take
heart, My child, for I am near
And will
give you grace to rise above.
“Although
right now your path may seem steep,
With many
troubles along the way,
Keep
trusting in My sufficient grace
That will
help you throughout the day.
“In
burdens, I’m your constant Friend,
To help
you when weighed down;
Cast on Me
every one of your cares—
There’s no
need to wear a frown.
“And when
your heart is aching so much
With
sorrow, pain or fear,
Just
remember that I am Immanuel
And am
always very near.
“So, trust
in Me, my precious child,
For I
truly know the path that is best;
Though
filled with toil, pressures and trials
You’ll always find sufficient grace for the
test.”
